You can make a difference in Rhode Island by taking this course.
Now in its third year, Help Her Run is a nonpartisan, in-person training program built to prepare campaign managers to support women and gender-expansive candidates in Rhode Island’s 2026 election cycle.
Backed by local nonprofit organizations, this program equips aspiring campaign managers with the knowledge and tools to run effective, strategic campaigns.
In 2026, dozens of women and gender-expansive candidates will run for office across Rhode Island—and each will need a skilled campaign manager to help them win. Campaigns are fast-paced, competitive, and require sharp coordination. A strong manager keeps things running smoothly, allowing candidates to focus on what matters most: connecting with voters.
Who Should Apply?
Help Her Run is open to anyone in Rhode Island aged 18 years of age or older who wants to make an impact—no prior campaign experience required. You don’t need to know which campaign you’ll join before taking the course.
Previous applicants have included:
Individuals passionate about making a difference in their community
Volunteers who’ve supported political campaigns in the past
Activists and advocates (for example, those who’ve attended rallies or organized events)
Anyone able to commit time to a campaign during an election cycle (especially summer 2026)
Whether you're looking to take the next step in your advocacy or get hands-on with electoral politics for the first time, Help Her Run offers a powerful opportunity to lead from behind the scenes.
Dozens of women and gender expansive people will run for office across Rhode Island in 2026, and each will need a qualified campaign manager to help them succeed.
